So, Gunbound has changed companies and from what it looks like, our accounts are gone. Fail.

But part of the beauty of Gunbound is that you can just pick it up and play the same you did before, especially if you just play Avatar off! They finally got all their shit working and I was able to re-download the client at uber-snail-speed. I've hosted it on our own web space so you don't have to go through that.

I've heard it described as akin to Scorched Earth, or Worms. It picks a 2d map for you to sit on, and you eat away at the map and other players with your mobiles:
This picture doesn't have a few of the new mobiles they've introduced, but the majority of them are there. When we play, we all usually set to random so it's a surprise which mobile we get for each game.
Let's get the crew back into this again, and anyone on this site that wants to (Volties included!) It's SO easy to pick up - and we play with avatars (gear) turned ineffective so we're all on even playing grounds. There's also a kickass tutorial that teaches you how to play.
To get started, go to http://gunbound.softnyx.net/Default.aspx and register an account. I believe you have to make a Gunbound ID that is separate from your Softnyx account, too. Also - don't use a throwaway e-mail, make sure you can register with your email or you don't get access to some of the things in game.

We used to get games going after raids, or on off nights - and we only play each other and don't bring puggies into our games. Just makes it more fun, especially if we're on vent. Also, Perin does voiceovers for the game! (Not really, but they sure sound like him)
