The other thread is full of DK crap and has been dead for months, so let's start another.



I don't have a fancy gamepad, but my keyboard real estate is divvyed for best use.  I use ESDF to move, with all of my most-used abilities around the keys (if you look closely you can see the letters on a bunch of hotkeys)

My list of mods is:

Visible:
Spartan UI - includes a package of Bartender, some unit frames, and the look and feel of the bottom of the screen
Titan Panel - top bar on the screen, with gold, bags, durability, performance, clock
Skada Damage Meters - Some nice features that other meters don't seem to have, including a built-in thread meter
Bagnon (and Banknon) - all in one bag mod
Cellular - AIM style tabbed whispers, bottom left corner
Prat - keeps my main chat frame neat
Grid - so I can see what's going on during a raid with special debuffs, deaths, aggro, etc.

Non-visible:
Auctioneer - duh
DBM - duh
Random assortment of mail mods
Clique - mostly for my druid, but i use it for casting Tricks sometimes as well
Titleswapper - Because I can't decide between Celestial Defender, Death's Demise, or Herald of the Titans, so it swaps every 30 minutes between those for me >.>
Livestock - random mount mod
PowerAuras - puts obnoxious things on my screen when i'm standing in something bad, or when I forget to put slice up.
ClassTimer - times my debuffs, etc.

I think that's it.  Post your shit and maybe me or someone else will learn a better way to UI.

Just redid my UI to be a bit more simplistic yet useful...

I spent the day rebuilding my UI. I've been really unhappy with it lately.

I went with the very minimal/sparse look, so I can see more of the screen.

Does cellular warn you when you receive a new whisper?

As in, does the tab blinks or something to let you know you got an answer?

If you're in a different tab of Cellular, one that gets a new message will blink red.  There are also audio cues to catch your attention, but i don't think it's *every* tell, I forget the exact system I'm so used to hearing it.

Just get a job in some stupid retail store while you are looking. It's the holiday season they are all hiring.

Also, hit the temp agencies in your area. I've gotten a lot of great high paying jobs through agencies. Especially for a bi-lingual person with great computer skills... you'll get something easy.

Temp agencies are great! I work for one, and it's a position that I got because I originally applied as a temp. You can find some pretty great jobs, many of which can even lead to being hired full-time after a certain time period.

This. I got two great full time jobs that i was at for years by starting at the companies as a temp. If you do a good job, show up on time, and get people to like you it's more likely than not they will either keep extending your assignment indefinitely and/or find a way to hire you. It's an awesome way to get your foot in the door especially if you have no prior work experience to put on a resume. And even if you don't get in permanently it's something to put on your resume while you're looking!
