This thread will function mostly as a place for the 10 of us that have started on
Limit RO to keep track of wish lists and throw around gear ideas/party makeup, and general questions if you're new to RO.
However, if anyone else wants to start up with RO, it's really quick, since leveling rates are 100x what they are on official on this server. We also have *very* effective ways of AoE grinding you like 30 levels in about a half hour.
GAME OVERVIEWRagnarok is a MMO with anime-ish type character sprites, and a click to move/battle system. It's fairly old, but since it's the first MMO me and my group of RL friends ever really played, it holds some nostalgia value for us and we always come back to it eventually.
We've found
Limit RO, a private server with around 1500 people on at all times, and some nice features. It's free to play unless you want the premium subscription, which has basically convenience benefits and aren't required for gameplay.

There are a few options for 'endgame'. You can participate in Endless Tower, an instance with 100 levels that get increasingly more difficult, you can free-ball PvP, though RO pvp is hella complicated and hard to master. If we really wanted to, we can also participate in War of Emperium, which is basically us as a guild taking over a base and holding it down. That takes probably a lot more commitment than most of us have to the game, though. What most of us end up doing though, is just running around and killing the world bosses that spawn. It's difficult and fun, and can take anywhere from 2-several people, depending which you're going for.
Since there are so many people on this server, the economy is actually really good, it's easy to find stuff you need for decent prices, and stuff sells pretty quickly too. Khymn happened to get a very rare drop his 3rd day on the server (I'm talking shit-your-pants-rare). We sold it for 900 million zeny, which is a LOT of money for 3 days in. So we're pretty set for money and can hook you up with at least some starting gear and nice endgame stuff.
