If you do purchase it, do it like a bad movie, go in with really really low expectations, then when it WOWs you, you will feel better about it.
Otherwise I am playing a Final Fantasy for the story. I dun care if it's linear.

Well it's also the whole whispers of its combat being similar to FFXII that sort of worries me as well. But...it IS a Final Fantasy...and, XII aside (X-2 shouldn't exist in my mind), none of them have really disappointed me. So...I suppose I can give it a whirl. x.x
