Heh, yeah... working towards an Algalon key . Mimiron and Freya are proving to be the most challenging of the five you need to down.

Did you guys do a week of 1 elder or anything? We're gonna start hard modes in 10man soon, any suggestions which to leave up?

We did one week where we left up Brightleaf, I believe (the one with the sun beams). If you leave him up he increases the magic damage dealt by everything, and she'll spawn the sunlight that you have to run out of. It was a little rougher but it was doable. Leaving one alive will give you a conqueror's badge in addition to the valor ones. You only get the hardmode items from downing her with all three up tho. Leaving all three buffs magic and physical damage of all of them by 50%, and her and her adds have a lot more health. She'll also spawn Iron Roots, the sunlight, and use Ground Tremor (which will interrupt spells if anyone is casting for like 8 seconds, and deals ~10k on normal mode ulduar to everyone). She is. A bitch . If you intend to take down the keepers on hardmode, however, make sure you take down Iron Council with either Molgeim or Steelbreaker last, so that you can get the disc that starts the archavon quest chain. That way when you do down the keepers on hardmode, you get the sigils as well. And... good luck :3

Yeah we got Steelbreaker a few weeks ago, and currently 3 people with the quest =D We got Yogg down for the second time this week, so now we will start pushing some hard modes (or at least try.) We've gotten like 4 things done for the Ulduar raider thing done though xD Killing those stupid dwarves in Razorscale's Flame Breath is freaking annoying LOL
But anyway, yeah we're probably gonna start off with one elder with Freya. ^^

we killed freya last night finally. I got to sit out on wipe night last week and come in for an easy kill lol.
We pretty much spread out as we nuked lashers after a few seconds of AoE. I was gripping a few out and killing them. On the trio we had our pally tank pick up all three till the snaplasher activated its buff. then the hunter tried to pull aggro and we all beat on it to get the stack to 99 then back to the others while it sat in the aoe and the hunter kept stacks up so it didnt move. Other than that we just switched to trees and roots as necessary and didn't stand in the sunlight and the healers spammed their asses off to keep us at near full HP so no one got tremor gibbed.

we got it with 2 last night pretty easily. We knocked out the tremor guy after a few attempts - we probably would have gotten it but we werent in the mood for another "wipe night" at the time. cant wait to try it with 3 again though. just need to pay attention to tremor >.<

Hey I realize this topic hasn't been posted on for a while, but I was wondering how you guys handled the lashers phase with all 3 up. We can get through 2 with little difficulty (usually sac through one lasher phase and hymn through the other). The problem is we kill the ground tremor guy and with 3 up were not sure how to handle the ground tremors in the midst of killing the lashers. Do you guys single target the lashers and slow it down when the ground tremor hits to let your healers catch back up or do u taunt them out ele roots + slow trap + lock stun and just massive aoe on the lashers to kill as many out of range of the raid as possible. Thanks for the feedback in advance.

The detonating lashers is what you're talking about, right?
We stack up on Freya first, EVERYONE, and AOE them down to about 20-30%. Then our OT AOE taunts the adds (Main Tank must re-taunt Freya) kites them away - mage ice Novas them into place as the rest of the raid is spread out AWAY from them and kills them off which leaves most of the raid safe from the damage.
Dealing with the Tremor in general is a pain in the ass, it has screwed us over several times, even with the Snap/Storm/Spirit, cause we used to be very magic heavy and so if a tremor was coming and those adds didnt die fast enough and ressed, it was pretty much a wipe. Right now we have much more melee and we're gonna do it again this week, not sure if much will be changing in our strat, but we shall see.

Once the lashers spawn, we clump into a ball and AoE - they get to ~30% very quickly, then we scatter out again. The DPS each pick a random target and kill it. It's not bad to heal through as long as you have 2 healers on the raid at all times. -j

I suggested this strat when we were first trying it but we really didn't have a solid, reliable mage with which to effectively cc them. The spread out/single target them down has worked for us since we pretty much spam heal/out heal everyone to keep everyone topped off for the lashers' last 20% and hope we don't get an ill-timed tremor during that. Like Thom said, having 2 raid healers during that for that strat is pretty much mandatory.
