Hello there,

last sunday we had our first tries @ Thorim and opposite to the 10man version our 25-raid seemed kinda chanceless. We´re 'casual' but I never read that Thorim was a bigger problem to any raid, so I guess we´re just missing something.

On sunday we had:
4 Tanks - Protpally, warrior and unholy-dk (me in 2nd-specc) in the colosseum. Another Warrior in the gauntlet.
8 Healers - 1 shaman, 3 priests, 2 druids & 2 Pallys
and a bunch of DDs including 2 DKs, 4 Mages, 2 Hunters and so on.

First we tried to keep as much AoE as possible in the Arena to burn down the adds as known from 10man but our mages always faced the dirt after short time. We switched our tactics and kept melees in the colusseum and it felt a bit better. Seemes like we hadn´t got the right priority killing the bigger adds. Ranged should focus on vrykul (champions?) and melee on evokers.
Our DDs survived much longer but from that point our tanks started dying because we had to tank too much adds.

So how do you handle the colosseum? Any tipps and help will be appreciated.

Death knights ret paladin rogue(s) in the arena aoeing and prioritising evokers then warbringers.

1 or 2 ranged(we use hunters) on the champions alone.

1 tank tanks champions away from the shit pile and the other tank tanks the shit pile (warbringers/commoners) we dont tank evokers and commoners die to aoe produced when killing the  evokers and warbringers (pest spam, FoK, divine storm whirlwind etc etc.

Dont forget to bring a rogue with improved fan of knives on the pit so they could silence them all all the time, its really really really usefull.
