An addon to test, if you will!

I only have the one toon, really, so I'd love some help testing our newest addon =)

The problem
Our spell procs now have pretty glowy animated borders - but unfortunately they only work for direct action bindings. If, instead of Starfire, I have this macro...

#showtooltip Starfire
/use Trinket1
/cast Starfire

...my button won't glow when lunar eclipse procs.

The solution
Install this addon!

No config, no setup, just install. Make sure your macro has a "#showtooltip Spellname" line to indicate to the macro subsystem which icon and tooltip you want to be displayed in the action bar. The addon should take over and enforce proc glows from there.

The testing
Figure out which spells are glowy-enabled. For me, in balance, it's Wrath, Starfire, and Insect Swarm. In resto, it's my ToL buffed spells. Remove a glow-proc spell from your bar, and create a macro to do it instead. Here is the simplest test macro to use:

#showtooltip Starfire
/cast Starfire

Replace "Starfire" with the ability to use. Place this macro on your bar in place of the spell, and go test! Even if the glow fails, the spell will cast as normal - you won't be gimped in combat in any way.

Reporting
Whether it works or doesn't work, please report the following things:

1) class
2) spell used
3) exact macro text
4) addons in use

I'd really appreciate any input you guys can give - more addon support from the guild is better for us all!

For all testing, only your addon was installed.  This is a clean beta install with no other 3rd party addons having been installed prior to testing.

Priest

Discipline: 

Archangel

When talented in both Evangelism and Archangel, casting Smite 5 times will stack Evangelism to a 5 stack (capped) which then creates a glow border around Archangel in the tool bar.  Using the macro:

Observations: The macro in the action bar does not get a glow border with a 5 stack of Evangelism.  Additionally, when Smite is cast at least one time and procs Evangelism, the Archangel icon goes from dark or shaded (not usable) to lit up (usable) on the action bar.  This "light up when usable" doesn't work with an Archangel macro as well.

Holy:  Currently there are no Holy spells which gain the "glowy border".  However, Holy priests *can* spec into Evangelism/Archangel in the Disc tree (not that they would).

Shadow: 

 Archangel (Dark Archangel)

When talented in both Evangelism and Archangel in the disc tree, casting Mind Flay repeatedly will stack Dark Evangelism to a 5 stack (capped) which then creates a glow border around Archangel in the tool bar.  Using your mod and a macro:

Observations: The macro in the action bar does not get a glow border with a 5 stack of Dark Evangelism.  Additionally, when Mind Flay is cast at least one time and procs one stack of Dark Evangelism, the Archangel icon goes from dark or shaded (not usable) to lit up (usable) on the action bar.  This "light up when usable" doesn't work with an Archangel macro as well.  Also, there is no "Dark Archangel" Icon, the Archangel spell gets the "glowy border" and when cast, you gain the Dark Archangel buff.

Mind Blast and Mind Spike

When Shadow Orbs are proc'd from a chance from damage dealt by Shadow Word: Pain and Mind Flay.  When this reaches a 3 stack of Shadow Orbs (cap), then Mind Blast and Mind Spike gain the "glowy border" effect.  Using the macro:

Observations:  When using both macros, both never gained the "glowing border" effect after a 3 stack of Shadow Orbs.


Additional info on priest spec:  Mind Spike when cast actually stacks a buff of its own called Mind Spike which stacks 3 times.  This buff increases the critical strike of your next Mind Blast.  When Mind Spike is at a 3 stack, Mind Blast *doesn't* gain a "glowing border".  My guess is that if this buff stack were to cap and proc the glowing effect, it would confuse the player that they had a full stack of Dark Evangelism and not a full stack of Mind Spike. 

Also, I think when the Glyph of Shadow Word: Death is equipped, it would be pretty nice if Shadow Word: Death could gain the "glowy border" if just once, to instantly let the player know their current target is below 25%.   I'm sure other addons could give warnings like that, but might be kind of nice to include that ability.

I'm a retard, Omega - when I said "beta testers", I wasn't referring to the actual Cataclysm Beta (4.0.3). I simply meant that people could help me test it on live. Poor wording - I'll change.

But thank you for the input. I'll release another version soon with much more debugging information.

Observation:

Icon is properly grayed out when no HP is present, however; won't go sparkly with either 3 HP or HoL.  No PCMacroOverlay text from either application of use of procs.

Some points...

• Originally I said that your mod wasn't working in Dominos (1.19.8).  Then I said that some addon wasn't lighting up my priest's proc glow borders.  I was completely wrong in these statements.  It appears that in live, the 5 stack of Evangelism *doesn't* proc the glow border around Archangel on live but *does* on the Beta.
  
  
• After swapping to my mage, I tested your mod and it indeed works *with* and *without* Dominos.
  
  
• The only problem (if this is actually a problem) is that I *must* reload my UI after I log on to my character both on the beta and live in order for your mod to work.  This also explains the behavior where once logging into my toon I never got the PCOverlay mod line of text to display.  However, once I reloaded the UI, it worked.
