So who else is running ITx6?

We got our first Vengeful Heart sigil on Tuesday~ So I'm trying it out.

Seems pretty powerful and pretty easy to fuck up. I haven't been using a rotation really, Just trying ot keep FU rune pairs as separate a possible really.

Wondering if anyone else is doing it and how they start their rune times at the beginning of the fight?

I agree that can be very powerfull on static encounters. but i didnt liked it ... used on my last ulduar (still using 4tier8) and my dps went up on some encounters but really down on others. With the HB glyph i feel much more confortable and im usually toppng meters on most the encounters.

The most important thing on that rotation is using the death runes on icy touches and dont waste the MAAAANNNYYY procs on them but on the frost strikes ... Maybe when u are really confortable with the rotations its a really good specc ... but i preefer paying more attention to the encounter itself, i could loose some dps but alive dps is better dpser.

My thoughts

I just started messing with this spec this week. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use it very much due to the raid needing abom's might so I had to go back to blood. It's a lot of fun to fire off a ton of touches in a row and crank out the FS when you have enough RP.

I think it can be very powerful and the procs aren't too hard to watch for if you use a mod like powerauras or a well positioned needtoknow.

In the little time I was able to use the spec I was trying to figure out how to start it off with a disease and wasn't able to find a good way of doing this. I had come up with a couple options and none of them seemed to work out.

I'll be running this spec tonight on 10-man and hopefully will have some new info to report back on.

The best way to start is IT  BS  BS OB [BT] OB

My thoughts

So you're running single disease HB glyph? in Blood pres? And you didnt fint IT6 to blow it away in every aspect?

Either you're doing something wrong with It6 or I did something wrong as HB blood pres for 2 weeks.

no, that dosen't set your runes up good enough, you end up using ITs on slot 6 Death and it messes everything up. timing your runes is absolutely critical with this spec.

The most effective way to start is IT BS OB FS, BT, IT FS OB FS.

this lets your FU pairs come up far away from each other. You then use a blood strike on one death to refresh again as death so you always have 1d and 1b coming up as to more evenly spread RP gen and avoid dead time in your rotation.

Fluidity is key with this spec. you have no Rotation or Priority system, you simply try to put as much time between your FU pairs as possible and use KM on FSs when you can.

i didnt placed any FS on my rotation on purpose ... just for priorizing them on KM procs.

And well i use the HB speec both on unholy and blood presence , mostly blood ofc, as i explained on my post is u have to pay a lot of attention to the rotation and the proccs on the IT*6 specc.

What i also tried is using the HB glyph instead of the Ob one on that specc as erekose said on the EJ ... and honestly i didnt liked it either, i loose a lot of damage on the OB so dont know maybe it is using it untill u feel really confortable with it.

Ill give it oneother shot and specc for it and going many heroics so i test it on easy content so i get to the raids with better rotations knowledge.

BTW didnt knew u have to "separate" the timing of the death runes.

Hb glyph over ob glyph is a bad idea imo.

And yes normally you do not put FSs in the rotation, that is only there to help start the rune seperation which you will later be trying to potentiate by sometimes holding GCDs so you can use your first FU set immediately, then using rime procs and full rune dumps while the second FU is up, letting it hang for awhile to space them out quite well.

It seems it takes some time for the rotation to really fall into place and it takes a little bit of fucking around which can suck considering how buggy runes are at the moment.

Well i Gave it 1other shot and now im much more confortable with it ... on first 3 (if not 1st) on all the bosses we did today, razorscale, thorim, hodir and freya.

Using the howling blast glyph btw, i think loosing 20% damage on a skill that u use 2 times every 18 secs is not a big loose, and u win a lot of AOE damage with the howling blast glyph, also you can start the rotations with howling blast, then Oblit BS BS.

Yap.
I just got me a Deaths Bite from Naxx10 (usually running 13/58 DW with Malice/Remorse) to play around a bit. I´m following EJs Frost Thread for a while now and even got Erekoses video.
So far the 'rotation' is hard to follow and it seems even harder with ~300ms  Undecided

I plan to give it a try the next time our enhancement-shami isn´t with the raid.

Well, it takes practice, to say the least. Don't think you can just pop into this spec and see numbers right away. The rotation is pretty hard to get accustomed too, and even harder to understand. But it is there that the hardest part lies: you HAVE to understand the rotation. You have to know exactly what is happening when you IT or Oblit, otherwise when the rotation gets messed up, whether it be your fault or the encounter's fault, your DPS will plummet.

Oh, and don't even think about doing it without the Sigil of XT. I'd had my Unholy sigil equipped by accident when I first tried it out, and equipping it increased my Dummy DPS by almost 400. Though I'm sure that could be said about any frost spec, eh?

The forums look very dead latelly lets pull them up together.

Any of u have tried both with OB glyph and HB glyph? ... ive been using the HB one for some time now and its ok, the dps doesnt skyrocket and its very usefull on AOE situations but i was wondering if using the OB one wouldnt give the specc nicer numbers (for sure will give better results on single target encounters).

Anyway im also wondering if a more classic 2 diseases using more OBs wouldn't be also better on higher gear level, the more Ob the more ryme procs.

Dunno just some ideas.

IT6 is based on it´s high RP production and the following FS. Using more OBs maybe will cause more Rime, but RP per Rune is much higher with glyphed ITs.
With higher gear level your OBs will hurt more, but so will your FS.
