Can't use dungeon finder till you find the dungeon (go figure). Can't find some dungeons until you finish the quests ;-)

Also, they nerfed dungeon XP gains hard. Questing is going to be much faster.

Where did you see the nerf to dungeon exp?

Don't think there was a blue post about it. The change they made before they closed Beta is that any mob in a dungeon that is even one level below you rewards something like half the XP of a mob at your level. It's a steep drop. Thus if you plan on power-grinding BRC, you're done with it at 81, and then Throne of the Tides requires you to basically finish Vashj'ir to unlock it in the dungeon finder, etc.

actually in the hotfix on Nov24th they made it so you could queue for Wotlk dungeons without discovering them, dunno if this holds true for Cata though.

and yeah i ment for level 1-80 just do dungeon finder lol i messed around on the PTR before the patch went through, and leveled twice in 1 Wailing caverns run, then queued again and did the new Shadowfang(which is awesome btw) and leveled again, then all my barrens quests were green or grey /sadface

speaking of Wailing caverns, what a total let down... the only thing they changed was they added the quest NPCs at the start.

when i was at blizzcon they said they would be shorten really long instance into small wings like SM. WC was one of the mention long instance. But they said it's in the works for a future patch so that could go the way of the "Dance Studios" lol
