On tonights ToC25 I´ll run some tests on 3/13/55 which looks very promising so far.
The rotation seems a little odd:

PS-IT-SS-BS-BB-DC-HoW-DC
PS-IT-SS-BB-BB-DC-DC

BloodBoil > BloodStrike as long as desolation is up.
In my own variation of this build I left out the new Boneshield. The one-minute-CD sucks, imho :/

the bone shield being 1min on cd is really lame imo. i mean i guess you use it the same way Frost would utilize its Blood Tap for Unbreakable Armor. but its still lame.

i have personally not tried DW Unholy yet. if im not mistaken, its still slow/fast main/off-hand correct? ive been running a similar spec as a 2h right now, since i got the 2h weapon off Twin Valkyrs 10 man (kinda felt obligated to go 2h for a while since i got it lol, and its not like i have the greatest 1h weaps - still using the battlestar from H ToC, and Silent Crusader cuz ive been Frost DW.) i might give it a spin once i get some free time.

my guild doesnt seem to care what dps spec i run with for raids, cuz i pull out just as much dps in anything number wise lol

right now dw unholy is alil under 2h unholy but its a fun playstyle

Off-hand speed does not matter. When I DW, it's with dual Lion's Maws (2.6 spd). Dps and stats is all that matters in OH.

I ran the 'new' SS unholy and enjoyed it.

For now, while I like the DW playstyle, I'm running blood 2H on single/two boss fights and unholy 2H for multiple add/aoe fights. I coudn't get a fricking second trophy, so I bit the bullet and bought a 232 Thessarian's for the 2-piece finally. Now I'm just waiting on regalia.

If the coefficients don't change, I expect in full BIS DW will be the same or better than 2H, but itemization is still much better for 2H weapons. If things still don't change, DW should be superior in Icecrown. We'll see....

Like I said, I tested 3/13/55 on sunday and tonight. Took a little time to flip the 'dw-spam-priority' in my head back to a normal rotation.

On sunday our blood-dk got a new pve weapon (was using one of ´em gladiator-maces before) and we´ve been very close dps wise that evening. Today he got his 4pc-bonus. We did some XT hardmode tries and the longer tries (7-9mins) showed him a solid ~400dps ahead.

Nonetheless I´m going to stay unholy (& DW ofc), cos our raid needs Ebon Plague but from this raid on I´m dreaming of the 4pc-bonus. It´s just perfect for unholy  


Edit: atm I´m using BloodTab for a single IT after using the Garg. RP isn´t overflowing like in the DC-Spambuild and when using gargoyle there´s a chance to lose your UB-stacks due to the lack of RP.
Maybe there´s a better way to use BT, but for now I´ll go with that.

Good update, Flood.
I'm keeping the bone shield in. It's actually not a problem. Just use Power Auras or MSBT to warn you when it drops, and macro it to blood tap. I keep it up 98% of the time with no interruption of gcds.

Since I got my 4pc-bonus I´m lightning up the scoreboard as dw-unholy. This bonus is just insane atm.
Too bad blizzard realized that and shuffles unholy again.

As you all shure know, there are some more or less big changes comin up:
- 4pc cannot crit frostfever anymore
- GoIT doesn´t produce extra RP, but increases frostfever dmg by 20%
- part of SS now relies on physical dmg, which makes ArP a bit more attractive to unholy
- UB´s dot cut in half
- Boneshields duration back to 5mins

I´ll skip the ptr this time because I´m a little tired of all the redesigning blizzard is doing with every single patch atm.

I agree about the PTR; I want to peek at IC, but I think I'll wait.

I also agree about T9 4pc. Dang that's a nice bonus. Too bad it's getting beaten about the face and body with the nerf bat. But yes, unholy gets a big jump with 4pc, which is why I'm rolling unholy more often than blood at the moment.

Since DW unholy is looking to die the death in 3.3, enjoy it while you/we can! I'm hoping we can find a DW unholy in 3.3, and I have some faith, but all of the changes are looking bad so far. The Scourge Strike changes buff 2H and the IT glyph change hurts DC spam... we'll see.
