5.0 alpha bear thoughts.

If you have a bear alt, or ever bear, here's the run down of everything good, bad, unknown and idiotic done by blizzard in the overhaul of bears. There's still much time to change alot of this, but this is an extremely well done post by a friend of mine. And he knows his shit.

"Effectiveness: 60% reduction?  Seriously?  That number has to be wrong.  It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too high.
Scaling: We warned you about Block early in Cataclysm, but you didn't believe us (look where that got you).  I'm warning you about this now, and I don't want to hear any excuses in the future if you ignore it.  If this doesn't change Bears will approach 100% uptime with near 100% physical damage reduction.  Oh, and any damage we do take we can self-heal pretty effortlessly.  It needs to be nerfed.  A lot.  The caveat here is I don't know much about the other tanks, so obviously I don't want to be at a disadvantage.   However there is no way on earth this can make it to launch the way it is now."

"Negative Reaction with Dodge: Unfortunately this problem becomes even worse with the new model.  Pop Savage Defense to prepare for the incoming hit, then Dodge! Suddenly you've completely wasted 20 rage and a Savage Defense cooldown (if it existed).   Dodged Savage Defenses should be at least partially refunded and some if not all of the CD reset (if it exists)." - This is the same things DK's have suffered from as well.  Where Pallies and Warriors have had a symbiotic relationship between mastery and avoidance, DK's and druids have suffered from keeping a shield up after repeated good luck and having said shield be wasted.  At least in the case of a dk they made them stackable which lessened the effect.  Druids should be no different imo.
