I know this feeling. The mail that comes to my university is delivered to a central mail center, somewhere on the second campus. It tends to cause packages to be anywhere from on-time to sometime-next-week.  Angry

I too know the woes of late parcel delivery. I ordered a Razer Diamondback 3g mouse the other day, paid a bit extra for quicker delivery and it still hasn't arrived  Huh

My insurance bill went MIA, i had to pay over the phone today, and my Blizzard Authenticators which i got for myself and my bf for xmas went MIA. had to call Blizzard a few times and finally got them the other day. -.-;;;  And now im worried about the stuff i ordered online recently, i hope they arrive!!

4850 crossfire setups work so freaking well its rediculous, they work better then 4870 crossfire setups in some situations.

I remeber reading an article about it on anandtech or tomshardware. Ill see if i cant dig it up again

Thought I read somewhere of issues with anyone running a crossfire setup (or even the newer ATI's in general) in WoW.  How are yours running?  I just finished a small upgrade of my PC (old motherboard was not very stable), but kept the same GeForce 8800GT since it was running good.  4850's are cheap these days!

Crossfire and SLi don't help in wow really. Video card performance in general dosent mean much in wow as it's a very cpu/ram bound game.

Oh trust me I know, I just remember reports of people running 4870x2's in their system and getting 20-40fps with all details maxed while their old cards (usually Nvidia 8 or 9 series) would pull down 100fps consistently.  I'd like to get at least one 4850 since they are so cheap these days.

Going from a AMD X2 6000+ to an Intel Core2Duo was a huge upgrade in game for me, even not overclocked.

That's being said, did you get a FPS increase (for WoW) with your new cards?

Yes, but only the fps increase going from a 3870 to a single 4850 would provide. The difference between the single 4850 and dual 4850 in wow is non-existant because iirc, it dosen't even support it, and if you force it then you lose fps. But performance in say, FarCry 2 is amazing.

Good to hear, makes me feel better about going down this route.  I'm especially looking forward to Diablo 3, tho that is quite a ways out still at this point.

Nev its seems like a few people here know about hardware, think we can start a sub section forum for it?

Personally I will be buying a new gaming rig in March and having a hardware forum of MMO players would be great.
