Charter

We are a 25-man, hard-mode guild. We do not farm loot for the sake of it. The goal is to get achievements and the subsequent rewards.  We raid 4 nights a week, never 5. We raid from ~7:30 - 11:30.

As a progression minded guild a high level of play is expected. It is extremely important to note that a 95th percentile player with a poor personality is no more useful than a 95% percentile personality with no ability to play. Friends and laughs are as important to us as progression and we are firm believers that one does not have to come at the cost of the other.

We are always looking for people who can teach the guild members something new. Having the ability to teach in a friendly and constructive manner is as important as the ability to take constructive criticism and the need to know more about your class, your role and what lies ahead.

Personal accountability is a must for a successful raid member. The less you are asked to do, the more you own up to and the more you learn from your mistakes without being walked through it, the better. This is not to say that help can not be acquired but you should not be relying solely on the guild for your information or materials.

If a person can fit into those simple guidelines, then we believe they can demonstrate all the qualities required to become successful in this game; while building friends, and enjoying the time spent online more than they do their 9-5 job

Recruitment

Applicants can expect to hear little more than "Thank you for your application, it is currently under review" for 24 hours. At that point, the application is copied to a private forum for discussion. If any current raider has a strong negative preference for a particular applicant, the application is denied. If the application is promising, the applicant will be offered a guild-tagged 4-week recruitment process. The applicant will be expected to be on for as many raids as possible and will be given ample opportunity to raid. Following each reset (or raid, as the case may be) he will be given notification for how well he is doing. He should not be surprised after his 4 weeks that he is accepted or rejected, ever.

Everyone currently tagged with Plaguechill (Officer, Raider, or Casual) is invited to comment publicly on a new applicant if they so desire, so long as their public comments are respectful.

Loot

We use a loot council in which raiders type in /o if they are interested in loot that is linked. It is expected that raiders will type /o mainspec/offspec/sidegrade [LinkCurrentGear]. After interest has been shown, the loot council will vote:  Loot will be awarded and the reason for the decision will be noted. All loot received will be noted and recorded.

In the event of a hung loot council, two or more raiders interested in the loot will be asked to roll. This is a sign that the upgrade is of equal value to the raid.

Policies

We expect high attendance - exceptions will be granted, but the purpose of this is too keep our raiding pool low which results in less people sitting out and more raiding.

We have a no bullshit policy towards our members, this includes but is not limited to:

If we are unhappy with your performance as of lately we will tell you, we will show you how we'd like you to improve and help where we can.

If you are a casual you are a casual. If you'd like to be a raider you must apply for a raiding spot through the normal application process.
